We excavate beauty from forgotten time.

We wanted Everwood to be the kind of place you could visit many times and still notice something new. You might come in for a coffee and find yourself looking at an antique cup, a painting on the wall, or a small detail hidden amidst all the others that you missed before.

The café is also our art salon. Artists exhibit their work here, and we hold exhibition openings as new work comes in. We drew inspiration from the tradition of art salons, where people gathered around paintings and conversation in the intimacy of a home. We wanted that warmth in the space, because the room around a painting completely changes how we experience it. When we feel at ease, we can give it more time, let our eyes settle, and begin to notice.

There’s a separate atelier for all sorts of creative workshops. This is where people of all ages can try a material, learn from someone else, and make something with their own hands. For us, these are all connected: looking closely at what others have made can alter your perception and almost always makes you want to create something yourself.
